A Brief Overview
Conducts facility maintenance duties and customer interface. Assists with equipment service and general housekeeping tasks to ensure buildings and properties are in a clean and orderly condition.
What you will do
Performs routine custodial duties to include sweeping and mopping floors and vacuuming carpets.
Maintains outer premises by cleaning entrances and outside areas to ensure customer comfortability.
Monitors inventory of cleaning agents and equipment to ensure adequate resources to perform duties.
Collects trash receptacles and disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters to maintain building safety.
Communicates needs and concerns regarding building safety and cleanliness to appropriate staff to resolve issues.
Operates automatic sweepers, scrubbers, outdoor equipment such as weed eater, lawnmowers, or other electrical tools to repair or construct items, as applicable.
Documents any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the higher management in a timely manner.
Organizes tool required to perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure that all brooms, mops, brushes, and other hand tools are safely secured in storage.

Position Summary
The Porter will be working in a mid to large volume facility. In this position, you will keep the building and property in a clean and orderly condition.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs routine custodial duties to include sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets.
• Cleaning restrooms and restocking supplies.
• Maintains building free from indoor pests.
• Empties trash receptacles disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters.
• Maintains outer premises by cleaning entrances and outside areas.
• Dusting and disinfecting all surfaces.
• Washing windows.
• Identify and perform minor repairs.
• Painting, as needed.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff.
• Maintains work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as requested by the department lead/supervisor and or manager.
Required Qualifications
• Ability to walk, stand, pull, climbing, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation.
• Ability to work safely in and around machinery.
• Must be able to lift frequently 20-45 lbs., occasionally 45-75 lbs.
• Proven ability to be a team player who is comfortable working in a team-based environment.
• Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service.
• Ability to act competently in emergencies.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$16.00 - $26.21This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
