WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Pool Operations Manager, you will shape the guest experience through warm hospitality and attentive service, overseeing all facets of pool operations.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Oversee daily pool operations, ensuring safety standards, cleanliness, and ambiance are met.
Collaborate with supporting departments, addressing maintenance needs promptly.
Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team, including lifeguards, bartenders, servers, and support staff.
Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
Ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Plan and execute poolside events, activities, and promotions to enhance the overall guest experience.
Ensure departmental compliance with company, state/local, and Health District policies.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and health standards.
Manage budget, monitor expenses, and optimize profitability through cost control measures.
Drive revenue through effective cabana rental rates aligned with the overall strategy.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure exemplary guest service and overall operational efficiency.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance team member skills and engagement.
Advocate for preventative maintenance and security functions to protect assets and ensure safety.
Own the execution of the functional strategy for pool operations and food & beverage services.
Lead the implementation of policies, operating procedures, and training programs for pool operations.
Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, growth, and enhance guest satisfaction.
Solicit feedback from guests and use it to continuously improve the poolside experience.
Communicate company policies and objectives clearly, fostering a positive work environment.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards and address potential hazards promptly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises all positions within the Pool Operation including Food and Beverage.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of progressive pool operations experience.
Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience.
Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays as business demands.
Organizational skills, solution-driven, analytical thinker.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills which include being able to comfortably sell new ideas/strategies at all levels of the organization.
Proactive with an attention to details.
Able to set priorities, work schedules, and meet department deadlines.
High School Diploma or GED (required)
At least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED
Experience leading large teams, both in a bargaining and non-bargaining environment.
Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage management systems (InfoGenesis, Kronos, Stratton Warren, Workday and SevenRooms), technical knowledge of data analytics systems.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
Must regularly lift and/move up to 30 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, varying conditions of temperature, heat, water, wind, extensive sun exposure, chemicals, including chlorine and other pool chemicals, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
