This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Summit Club, set outside of Las Vegas, NV.

Summit Club is seeking a Pool Attendant to join the Food and Beverage Service Department.

The Pool Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to members lounging by the pool and those utilizing our cabanas. The Pool Attendant will assist in delivering food, beverages, and amenities while ensuring a pleasant and relaxing experience for our guests. The Pool Attendant will be responsible for maintaining a genuine, cheerful demeanor while representing the DLC brand positively at all times.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements at the pool or in cabanas.
  • Deliver Food & Beverage orders to members and their guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Set up and maintain cabanas, including arranging furniture, providing clean towels, ensuring cleanliness and powering on/off equipment.
  • Assist guests with any requests or inquiries they may have, providing information about amenities, activities, and services available.
  • Monitor and replenish pool supplies, such as towels, toiletries, refreshments and sunscreen.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pool area and cabanas, including clearing away used dishes, cups, trash and towels.
  • Uphold company standards for hygiene, safety, and customer service at all times.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including kitchen and bar staff, to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Work closely with bartender staff to ensure efficient Food & Beverage operations.
  • Assist with poolside events and activities as needed.
  • Ensure pool amenities are refreshed swiftly after members use. 
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the pool and its amenities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a pool or beach setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and stand for extended periods.
  • Requires 1 year of prior bus person experience.
  • Must possess a valid SNHD health card, Sherriff’s Card, & Alcohol Awareness card
  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
     

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in a poolside environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.

Disclaimer and Probationary Period

This position is subject to a 90-day probationary period beginning on the date of hire. During this time, performance and suitability for the role will be assessed. Employment beyond the probationary period is contingent on satisfactory performance and adherence to club standards.
