Point of Care Coordinator
Position Purpose:
The Coordinator, Point of Care oversees the Point of Care Testing program at assigned facilities. Serves as a liaison between Patient Care Services, Organizational Learning & Development and the Clinical Laboratory. Provides education, development of policies and procedures and design/implementation of new testing as necessary and in accordance with Laboratory Standardization Teams.
This position will be required to work at several sites including: Dublin, Diley Ridge, Reynoldsburg and Mount Carmel East.
Minimum Requirements:
· Education: Baccalaureate or Associates Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
· Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
Certified Med Tech, Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist required.
· Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical experience with point of care/laboratory testing.
· Effective Communication Skills
· Highly motivated and self directed and able to function independently.
· Leadership qualities, human relations skills and decision making ability.
· Readily accepts change and can influence people and organizational climate.
