We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior PMO Officer to support the success of the New Banking Platform Program (NBP). The NBP is at the heart of ING’s vision to become the bank of the future, modernizing our core banking platform and ensuring enhanced reliability, efficiency, and superior customer and employee experiences. As a Junior PMO Officer, you will assist in orchestrating the delivery of NBP, supporting the release of NBP funds towards the different workstreams, aiding communications towards Belgium and Group leadership, maintaining a consolidated view of the key risks, and assisting in managing the consolidated portfolio of interconnected workstreams. You will also help safeguard the budget, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and maintain project management standards. You will report directly to the PMO Lead and work closely with the delivery leads of the workstreams.


As a Junior PMO Officer, you will:

  • Assist in facilitating meetings and decision forums: Support the organization and documentation of regular meetings to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Support communication efforts: Help craft and execute communication plans to engage stakeholders and report on progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
  • Document governance activities: Assist in maintaining transparency and accountability by documenting governance activities.
  • Onboard and offboard team members: Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including access to systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist in financial tracking: Help oversee budget allocations and financial tracking to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Coordinate risk assessments: Support the coordination of program risk assessments and assist in defining mitigation strategies.
  • Support performance oversight: Assist in managing escalation protocols and resolving project issues under guidance.

Qualifications and Experience
As a Junior PMO Officer, you should have:
• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
• Basic Understanding of PMO Functions: Some knowledge of portfolio management, project governance, and budget management.
• Internship or Entry-Level Experience: Any internship or entry-level experience in
project management or related roles is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills, with the ability to engage with
team members and stakeholders.
• Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn and grow within the field of project
management.
