JOB PURPOSE:

1)       Driving strategic planning initiatives, optimizing business operations, and leading new product planning activities for Sanofi's General Medicines portfolio in China. This position serves as a strategic partner to the General Manager and cross-functional leadership team, providing analytical insights, business intelligence, and operational excellence to achieve business objectives and sustainable growth in the dynamic Chinese pharmaceutical market.

2)      The successful candidate will bridge strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and local market realities while driving innovation in product planning and launch excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1)          Strategic Planning & Business Analysis

•  Work with GenMED China GM to develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for GenMED China, aligning with global and regional strategies while addressing local market dynamics

•  Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence, and trend identification to inform strategic decision-making

•  Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning and resource allocation

•  Prepare executive-level presentations and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and global stakeholders

•  Monitor business performance against strategic objectives and KPIs, providing regular insights and course corrections

2)         New Product Planning (NPP) & Launch Excellence

•  Working with BU and BD in new product planning activities for GenMED pipeline products in China, from pre-launch through commercialization

•  Coordinate cross-functional NPP teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations

•  Work with BU and BD to donduct product feasibility assessments, market sizing, and commercial viability analyses

3)         Business Operations & Process Optimization

•  Drive operational excellence across GenMED China business operations, identifying and implementing process improvements

•  Lead business planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

•  Optimize cross-functional workflows and collaboration mechanisms to enhance organizational effectiveness

•  Implement best practices in project management, change management, and business process design

•  Support business transformation initiatives and digital innovation projects

•  Ensure data integrity and analytical rigor in all business operations activities

4)         Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

•  Build and maintain strong relationships with global, regional, and local stakeholders across functions

•  Facilitate cross-functional alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives

•  Lead strategic projects and task forces, coordinating diverse teams to achieve common objectives

•  Communicate strategic priorities and business insights effectively across all organizational levels

•  Partner with Finance, Commercial, Medical, and other functions to ensure integrated business planning

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

•  Minimum bachelor degree, MBA is preferred

•   Major in medical or related medicine science is preferred

Experience & knowledge:

•  Experience in Marketing Research in the pharmaceutical industry or in a consultative environment

•  Experienced in the field of Cardiovascular business in pharmaceutical industry is preferred

•  Preferred background in management consulting, strategy, with good knowledge about Pharma industry in China and global wise

•  Strong in project management, experienced in managing cross-functional project teams.

•  Experienced in Marketing, and preferred to have exposure in NPP including lifecycle management for established and new products

•  Strategic thinking – including business case development; Scenario planning; Strategic prioritization; Long-term portfolio roadmap planning

•  Good communication and influencing skills in a matrix organization with stakeholders from local and global

•  Good analytical skills, able to generate insights

•  Ability to connect with people including ability to drive execution and follow-ups in a very supportive way.
