PMO Manager Lead  

Hitachi Rail is seeking an experienced PMO Manager Lead to support the delivery of multiple ongoing programs and strategic bid opportunities. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing project governance, planning, risk, cost, and performance management across major rail programs.

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised leader with the capability to drive PMO excellence, enhance project delivery outcomes, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO activities across major rail delivery programs and bids.
  • Oversee project planning and schedule management with expert proficiency in Primavera.
  • Manage Earned Value reporting, cost control frameworks, and performance tracking.
  • Drive effective risk management, change control, and EOT claims processes.
  • Support program governance, compliance, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Lead the PMO team to ensure consistent best practices across all projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Apply strong understanding of all delivery phases for ICS and WOBBS solutions: Design, Procure, Build, Install, Test & Commission, and Maintenance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10 years’ experience in a PMO leadership role within project environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational capability with high learning agility and adaptability.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Planning & Scheduling.
  • Expertise in EVM, risk management, cost control, and change management.
