Team Overview
The Change Management Office (CMO) team is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the project landscape across the UK Wealth Management business. This includes contributing to, and active project management of, larger strategic business or regulatory changes and the coordination and reporting of smaller, business delivered, tactical initiatives.
Within the CMO, the Project Management Office (PMO) function is critical to maintaining project management standards and ensuring effective oversight of the entire project portfolio across the UK Wealth Management.
The role of the PMO Analyst is to support the PMO team in driving governance and reporting across our project portfolio, embedding best-in-class project management practices throughout the business and ensuring all change initiatives are delivered in a structured, efficient, and controlled manner.
Responsibilities:
Project portfolio governance and reporting
- Day-to-day activities will include supporting the execution of project portfolio governance frameworks by coordinating project updates and requests, preparing relevant reporting materials for portfolio governance forums, and ensuring decisions and actions are documented and tracked.
- Collect, validate and maintain accurate portfolio data, monitoring portfolio performance, risks, issues, and dependencies. Produce high-quality management information dashboards, reports and insights for senior stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Support the measurement and reporting of benefits across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Act as a key point of contact for portfolio governance queries, ensuring timely and accurate communication with senior stakeholders.
Project management standards and best practices
- Supporting the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of project and portfolio management frameworks, contributing to the evolution of PMO best practices.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of project documentation, plans, and governance artifacts to ensure compliance with PMO standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development of project management skills and embedding of PMO best practices across the organisation by assisting in the design and delivery of training sessions, workshops, and practical guidance materials.
- Act as a subject matter resource for project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), ensuring teams understand and apply the appropriate approach for their initiatives.

- Have a commercial attitude and look for efficiency improvements wherever possible and appropriate.
- Ensure a client service approach to managing stakeholders or project queries and issues such that they are resolved in a speedy and satisfactory manner.
Cross-team collaboration and communication
- Over time develop an enhanced understanding of the various teams and functions across Wealth Management along with the associated end-to-end interactions in order to provide advice and support. Also, look to identify synergies that can be leveraged to enhance collaboration and improve process efficiencies.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of the ongoing projects across the CMO team in order to provide suitable cover and support for colleagues while they are out of the office.
- Periodic travel to Zurich or Paris in support of projects and initiatives may be required.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to successfully assist the management of project / programmes
- Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation acumen
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Wealth Management / Financial Services experience preferred
- Good Microsoft Office skills with a particular focus on PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with setup and maintenance of projects using ‘Planisware’, or other project portfolio management tools
