The Project Information Management Specialist provides Information Management support, input, oversight and governance across PMC project's which are located in Duke Energy's service areas; South and North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. This position is accountable for establishing information lifecycles, workflows and workspaces which are in alignment with both a project's scope and corporate retention requirements.
This position works directly with PMC Engineering, Owners Engineers, Contracted EPC Engineers, Equipment Providers, IT, RIM, Legal, Supply Chain, Station Representation and others to gain support, commitment and buy-in on policies, practices, standards and procedures and tools associated with Information Management for PMC projects.
This position provides guidance to PMC's Information Management contracted Support Services Company supporting information and system content, user requests, system securities (EDMS), and information quality reviews in support of very high volumes of information that is in various stages of document lifecycles or project gates. This includes project completion and the transfer of all records to (CAST), Duke Energy's System of record supporting retention. This position collaborates with management and its peers to ensure subcontracted staff produces a product which is in alignment with its contract.
This position delivers results that are consistent, repeatable, and reliable and supportive of an environment of high accountability. Position collaborates with department leadership and project leadership and moves forward independently to resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders, reduce costs, improve key metrics, and drive up information quality.
Responsibilites
- Supports continuous effective collaboration with peers and management related to project and station expectations, corporate policies, department procedures, processes and tools. Provides management and peers with inputs for specific project information management requirements so that information passing through workspace and lifecycles results as expected. Support compliance efforts to meet project and station deliverables, cost, schedule and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Project Management, Engineering, Quality and other internal PMC departments. Drive Project Information Management with Supply Chain and Project Management to improve understanding and results of this scope of work internally and externally with PMC Contractor and Supplied Equipment Contracts.
- Collaborates and provides feedback to management and peers related to products of the contracted services support company.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with station operations and station support entities to support the integration of station information requirements with project information requirements, and transition project information to record.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree AND 3 (three) years related work experience
- In lieu of Degree: High School/GED AND 5 (five) years related work experience
Additional Qualifications
- Project information management, project information management systems and or configuration management, SharePoint, SharePoint administration and other EDMS platforms
- Drafting/design experience; demonstrated EDMS capabilities; demonstrated records/information management capabilities, demonstrated support for Major Capital Project construction engineering and project support.
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, IT, management and teammates.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and monitoring of work and make decisions
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Carolinas or Florida
- Office-based with frequent travel to PMC project sites, Duke Energy power generating stations, and other Duke Energy facilities as needed.
- Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.
Additional PMC Justification
- This role will be responsible for support, input, oversight and governance of Information Management related tasks for project workspaces, EDMS sites, record retention polices and metric reporting interfaces to support PMC’s increasing workload.
