The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Operator is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and basic servicing of electronic test equipment used in production and quality testing. This role ensures that all test systems remain reliable, calibrated, and in optimal working condition to support consistent manufacturing performance and product quality.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on electronic test equipment, test fixtures, and associated hardware per established schedules and maintenance procedures.
Inspect, clean, and verify the operational status of test systems, connectors, cabling, power supplies, and measurement instruments.
Replace or repair minor components such as fans, filters, fuses, and connectors as needed.
Assist in equipment calibration and coordinate with engineering or metrology teams for scheduled calibration activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation of all PM activities.
Monitor equipment performance trends and report any abnormalities or potential failures to the maintenance or engineering team.
Support test equipment readiness by ensuring required tools, spares, and consumables are available and properly stored.
Follow all safety, ESD, and quality procedures during maintenance activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in an electronics manufacturing or testing environment.
Skills & Knowledge:
Basic understanding of electronic test systems and instrumentation.
Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Familiarity with test and measurement devices such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
