Job Description
Position summary:
Rockwell Automation is in the process of implementation Windchill solution as a new corporate-wide PLM platform. If you're interested in joining newly formed and still growing team, please apply for this role. This role is a member of global IT Product Lifecycle Management team. As a Windchill Developer at Rockwell Automation, you will be responsible for the development, customization, and support of our Windchill PLM platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions that enhance product lifecycle management capabilities across the enterprise
Key responsibilities:
- Transferring functional requirements into solution design & development for new enhancement requests, build preparation for the developed requirements
- Develop and customize Windchill applications, modules, workflows and reporting frameworks
- Prepare technical specification documents
- Estimate effort and complexity for new development tasks and enhancements
- Implement enhancements and integrations with 3rd party systems using Windchill ESI connectors and Windchill APIs
- Collaborate with Kalypso & PTC Cloud support to manage regular maintenance activities and upgrade events
- Provide end-user support for the global Windchill engineering userbase
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windchill-related issues, including custom upgrades and configuration errors
- Actively participate in SAFe ceremonies (daily synchs, sprint planning, backlog grooming)
- Continuously seek for the improvement opportunities
Qualifications must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Windchill development and customization
- Requires excellent knowledge of PLM/Windchill capabilities including Part, BOM, Document, CAD, visualization, and Change Management.
- Familiarity with Windchill configuration elements: ACLs, OIRs, lifecycles, workflows, types, and attributes
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE programming, including use of Windchill APIs for customization and integration
- Programming knowledge of JSP, XML, HTML, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Server and Linux
- Knowledge of Windchill Data Model and Windchill reporting
- Familiarity with code repositories and CI/CD tools, e.g., Git, ADO
- Fluent in English (C1)
Qualifications nice to have
- On-hands experience with ES
- Experience in Windchill REST Services and Integrations
- Knowledge of Windchill ThingWorx and Navigate
- Exposure to Ticketing Tools like Service Now
