Position Description:

The Player Development Program Manager I for the University of Louisville Women’s Basketball Program focuses on the holistic development of current student-athletes, including character development, leadership skills, and career development. Additionally, this position will have on-court skill-instruction responsibilities and may be designated as one of the program's countable recruiters.

The Player Development Program Manager I will be required to work a non-standard workweek, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as overnight travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and implement personal and professional development plans for Women’s Basketball student-athletes.

  • Maintains recruiting database and assists in synthesizing recruiting communications to prospective student-athletes, with a focus on international recruits and transfer student-athletes.

  • Assist the coaching staff with on-campus recruiting efforts for potential student-athletes.

  • Responsible for organizing international recruiting communications to prospective student-athletes, coaches, and other key international stakeholders.

  • Participate in recruiting visits and evaluations with coaching staff.

  • Responsible for community engagement efforts of Women’s Basketball and cultivating strategic partnerships and relationships in the community.

  • Supervise graduate managers and student managers in their day-to-day responsibilities to prep for all games and team practices.

  • Assist in practice planning and provide on-court skill instruction to student-athletes. 

  • Assist in game film and scouting of opponents.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with collegiate Women’s Basketball as a student-athlete, graduate assistant, coach, etc.

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
