We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join the Validation, Integration and Debug Engineering team. In this role you will support the validation activities for the latest solutions on Telecommunications products. You will be working closely with experienced engineers, improving current processes and increasing the number of automated test cases available.


This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world platform validation challenges and automation practices, in a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up platforms, involving hardware and Operating System deployment.
  • Executing test cases and reporting back results.
  • Performing triage activities for issues root-causing.
  • Improving execution cycles by scripting manual test cases.
  • Automating test plans using orchestration tools.
  • Follow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

What You Will Learn:

  • Hands-on exposure to real hardware systems and engineering tools.
  • Fundamentals of hardware validation, debugging, and testing.
  • Automation principles, including industry tools for coding and orchestration.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing a bachelor's in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (At least 1 year remaining as an active student).

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

  • 6+ months of experience in the following:
    • with scripting languages such as Python (OOP, Object Oriented Programming).
    • Linux OS, on any distribution.
    • assembling computers and updating firmware/software.
    • System validation.

  • Advanced English level.

Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Familiarized with version controllers (GitHub, SVN, GitLab, etc.).
  • Experience working with automation tools like Jenkins and Airflow.
