Summary
We are looking for a Platform Support Engineer to help maintain and improve the reliability of MerQube’s production systems.
In this role, you will investigate technical issues, debug backend services and data pipelines, and work closely with engineers across the organization to diagnose and resolve system problems. You will gain deep visibility into MerQube’s platform and play an important role in ensuring that our systems operate reliably for internal teams.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, debugging production systems, and learning how large-scale platforms operate. Support Engineers work across multiple parts of the system, making this role a strong opportunity to develop a broad understanding of backend architecture, data pipelines, and financial data processing.
You will also help identify recurring issues, improve operational workflows, and collaborate with the broader engineering team to increase system reliability and reduce operational friction.
What will you do?
Working Hours / Schedule Expectations
This role requires alignment with Pacific Time (PT) operating hours in order to support internal teams and production systems effectively. For team members based in India, this corresponds primarily to evening and night-time working hours.
On-Call Responsibilities
This role includes participation in a light on-call rotation focused on responding to critical production incidents.
Most work takes place during regular business hours in support of internal teams. During on-call periods, engineers are expected to respond to high-priority incidents (P1 issues) in a timely manner by triaging the issue, driving investigation, and either resolving it directly or coordinating with the appropriate engineering teams.
The on-call rotation is designed to provide coverage for critical incidents and is not intended to require continuous off-hours work.
