ABOUT THE JOB

The MJ Companies are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Platform Support Analyst to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Aperture, our proprietary analytics and data platform. This role is essential for addressing operational issues, managing data quality, and supporting users while contributing to process improvements and platform reliability. The ideal candidate will take ownership of hands-on support tasks, such as establishing, troubleshooting, monitoring data feeds, and onboarding users, with the opportunity to grow into a more analytical and strategic capacity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

  • Proactively track and resolve missing data feeds or system failures to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Monitor platform performance, identifying and resolving anomalies or inefficiencies.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to validate data accuracy and platform functionality.

Operational Support and User Management:

  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring proper access levels and permissions.
  • Set up and configure new clients in the platform, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Act as the primary contact for user support, addressing platform-related inquiries and resolving issues.

Data Management and Process Execution:

  • Assist with loading, validating, and entering data for prospects and new clients, ensuring accuracy and smooth integration into Aperture.
  • Working closely with carriers and vendors to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot data feeds.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to investigate and resolve data ingestion, transformation, or warehouse-related issues.
  • Document workflows and operational procedures to support consistent and efficient platform processes.

Power BI and Reporting Support:

  • Update Power BI dashboards, troubleshoot minor reporting issues, and perform general report maintenance.
  • Support analytics teams with ad hoc data requests and report generation as needed.
  • Run basic SQL queries in a data warehouse environment to validate data, investigate issues, or support reporting needs.

Process Improvement and Collaboration:

  • Identify and recommend operational enhancements to improve platform efficiency and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data workflows align with business requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for platform operations, data quality, and user support.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in an operational, support, or platform-focused role, preferably in a data or analytics environment.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows or pipelines.
  • Basic understanding of data quality, data validation, and operational monitoring practices.
  • Experience performing accurate data entry, updating datasets, and maintaining data integrity across systems.
  • Ability to write and run basic SQL queries in a data warehouse environment to troubleshoot issues, validate data, and support operational tasks.
  • Preferred: Experience in Employee Benefits or Property & Casualty domains, familiarity with user management and platform configuration.

TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor and resolve data feed or platform issues to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and client configurations, maintaining platform readiness.
  • Provide Power BI support for dashboards and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and implement operational improvements.
