Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A bit about your role
As the Platform Owner – f5, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of nbn’s f5 hardware and software suite, shaping its strategic roadmap and ensuring it delivers secure, resilient, and fit-for-purpose services across the enterprise. You will be the central point of contact for all things f5—guiding architecture, operational performance, security posture, patching, lifecycle planning, and commercial alignment. Your work will directly influence how nbn delivers reliable infrastructure services, enabling teams to collaborate with confidence and clarity.
In this role, you will bring together diverse stakeholders across enterprise architecture, security, delivery, and vendor teams to ensure the platform is robust, well-documented, and continuously evolving. You will lead platform innovation, drive operational excellence, and provide expert guidance during incidents and project delivery. Your leadership will ensure the platform remains compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with nbn’s broader technology vision.
A bit about you
You are a thoughtful and experienced technology leader with deep expertise in f5 hardware and software, and a strong background in infrastructure and scripting. You bring 10–15 years of experience and a collaborative mindset that thrives in complex environments. You understand the importance of secure, scalable platforms and are passionate about creating systems that empower others to do their best work.
You communicate with clarity and influence, and you’re comfortable guiding cross-functional teams through technical decisions and operational challenges. You’re highly organised, financially astute, and committed to continuous improvement. Above all, you’re someone who leads with purpose—mentoring others, fostering trust, and ensuring the platform you steward is a foundation for nbn’s success.
