Overview-
As a Platform Engineer (L8), you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining advanced data platforms and analytics solutions. You’ll leverage your expertise in databases, programming, data governance, and machine learning to drive operational excellence and empower teams across the organization. This is a high-impact, senior-level position for technical leaders who thrive in collaborative, agile environments and are passionate about data-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and Maintain Data Platforms: Design scalable, reliable data storage and processing solutions using technologies such as Postgres, Hive, and SQL.
• Service Model Development: Establish and implement service models that support efficient, resilient data operations.
• Data Analysis & Governance: Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights and ensure compliance with governance standards and best practices.
• Self-Service Analytics: Build dashboards and tools that enable users to independently access and interpret data, improving decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning: Develop anomaly detection pipelines and abuse detection systems using statistical and machine learning algorithms such as logistic regression and decision trees.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within Safe/Agile frameworks to deliver scalable solutions in a collaborative, iterative environment.
• Operational Intelligence: Implement analytics and machine learning solutions to enhance operational intelligence and support business objectives.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all data solutions adhere to governance and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
• Databases & Data Platforms: Intermediate proficiency in Postgres, Hive, and SQL.
• Programming Languages: Working knowledge of Java, R, and Python.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Safe/Agile frameworks.
• Data Analysis & Governance: Experience in analyzing data for insights and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Self-Service Dashboard Build: Ability to create dashboards for independent data access.
• Anomaly & Abuse Detection: Expertise in building pipelines for anomaly detection and analyzing data to uncover abuse scenarios.
• Machine Learning Algorithms: Practical experience with logistic regression and decision trees.
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s in engineering (Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field) and Business Analytics MBA/Major preferred
• Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the Payment Industry.
