Platform & Integration Lead
📍 Hybrid (London based) | 📝 Permanent | 🎯 Senior Individual Contributor | £80k to £85k base + bonus
Ready to shape the backbone of a platform that supports global clients and delivers meaningful behavioural insights at scale?
At MindGym, we use behavioural science to help people think, feel and perform better at work. To do that well, our diagnostics platform needs to be secure, scalable and thoughtfully designed. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a senior Platform & Integration Lead to provide clear architectural direction and integration oversight across our diagnostics platform. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role, focused on clarity, quality and long-term sustainability rather than line management or executive ownership.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Solutions Director, Director of IT and Data Architect, helping connect the dots across Product, Data, UX and outsourced engineering partners. You’ll shape platform patterns across core services such as authentication, licensing, APIs and user flows, and make sure integrations with client platforms and third-party tools are robust, secure and well-documented.
You’ll also coordinate InfoSec across platform and integration design, embedding security and compliance into the way we build. Alongside that, you’ll support R&D tax credit claims and HMRC audits by providing clear technical documentation and explaining engineering challenges in plain English.
This role does not carry CTO-level accountability. Ownership of the technology strategy and delivery sits with the Senior Solutions Director and the Director of IT. Your role is to bring architectural clarity, good judgement and a strong quality bar that helps the whole system work better.
In reality, this is about being the connective tissue in a small, experienced team.
You’ll:
Provide end-to-end architectural direction for platform services and integration patterns
Partner closely with our Data Architect to ensure data flows, schemas and integrations are reliable, aligned to standards and well-documented
Review designs and deliverables from outsourced engineering teams, setting and upholding clear technical standards
Surface risks early and make trade-offs visible so informed decisions can be made
Support the simplification of legacy systems to improve long-term maintainability and stability
Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
Success here comes from thoughtful collaboration, steady judgement and clear communication. It is less about heroics and more about helping everyone make better decisions, earlier.
Bring strong experience in platform engineering, systems integration or solution architecture
Have designed scalable, reliable and secure systems, ideally in SaaS or data-led environments
Are comfortable overseeing or reviewing third-party engineering work
Can explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Have solid grounding in authentication, API-first design, microservices and InfoSec principles
Enjoy improving what already exists and care about sustainable engineering practices
A CTO, Head of Engineering or people management position
Full executive accountability for technology strategy or delivery
Direct ownership of vendor contracts or large internal delivery teams
A pure greenfield build with no legacy considerations
A role focused primarily on hands-on production coding
Salary of £80,000 to £85,000 plus bonus
A senior individual contributor role with real influence across platform and integration decisions
Close partnership with Product, Data, UX and Technology leaders
The chance to shape secure, scalable architecture in a thoughtful, collaborative environment
