Assists with repairs, installations, and replacement of equipment and appliances; replaces faulty switches, sockets and other simple
elements of electrical system; replaces transformers, lamps, bulbs and repairs/replaces lighting fixtures; assists with mounting
motors, installation of electrical conduit and wiring of circuits; assist with pulling of wire and cable.
Completes minor repairs, installations, and replacement of pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures; does minor repair of valves,
fixtures, and fittings in heating and drainage; assists with the installation and repair of sinks, showers, toilets, water heaters, and
other plumbing fixtures.
Assists with preventive maintenance projects, such as air handlers filter replacement, cleaning of boilers and chillers, and minor
equipment checks.
Does clean up in shop area, electrical and mechanical rooms and plant areas; replaces stained and broken ceiling tiles
Repairs and tests hospital beds and wheelchairs.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
Previous apprentice experience working with electrical, plumbing or carpentry projects.
Preferred Education and Experience
Trade/vocational school with emphasis on electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
