What will you do?
The plant MRO buyer should be able to develop suppliers, execute savings projects, assure that an adequate supplier is assigned to each purchased item and support expediting processes with suppliers to assure that indirect material is supplied in a proper time and that it will meet the delivery dates to minimize the risk of an inventory stock-out or revenue impact. May also be required to support in other supplier related activities such as quality escalations and ISO related requirements.
How will you do it?
Placing POs for Indirect Material or Services.
Provide support to other areas in Plant as: Manufacturing, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, etc.
Monitor vendor performance and support Purchasing to assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development.
Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortages.
Implement Material related Projects.
Resolve discrepancy problems in a timely manner.
Comply with activities specified in JCI Safety Commitment Letter.
Participate in Safety Subcommittees and Safety Audits as required.
Participate in Risk Assessments.
Participate in EHS program, audits.
Implement and maintain security policy, health and environment at work to support the committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects.
Participate in Plant Training program.
Train your staff in procedures and instructions.
Define corrective and preventive actions.
Control system logs in your area.
Develop and review procedures and instructions.
Intervene personally identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior.
Identify and report potential environmental impacts.
Analyze and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree.
Indirect buyer or MRO buyer experience in a manufacturing company. (Forecasting, placement of indirect purchase orders, follow-up on purchase orders, ensuring supply of materials and services for the plant, price negotiation, and supplier development)
Fluent English.
SAP (Preferred) / ARIBA system for requisition placement.
Schedule flexibility.

Strong decision-making, communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
Experience in Manufacturing Plants. (Any Industry)
Strong negotiation skills.
