Join Ingredion as a Plant Maintenance Manager and take the lead in driving reliability, performance, and innovation at our Argo facility. In this role, you will shape the future of our maintenance operations by implementing modern technologies, developing technical talent, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. If you are looking to make a real impact at a global leader while growing your career, this is the place to do it.

As a Plant Maintenance Manager, you will lead the performance and reliability of all plant assets by managing key maintenance and reliability indicators, developing technical talent, and embedding disciplined routines that strengthen KPI ownership across the operation. You will empower teams with the autonomy and agility needed to make sound decisions that drive safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

You will oversee active outsourced maintenance contracts, collaborate with purchasing to cultivate strong supplier partnerships, and ensure service providers meet operational expectations. In this role, you will lead asset‑reliability strategies, deploying innovative technologies and maintenance methodologies—such as Six Sigma, Applied Statistics, Predictive and Proactive Analysis, RCM, FMEA, WCM advanced tools, and Digital Manufacturing—to extend asset life and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.

You will be accountable for ensuring safety, meeting cost targets, improving workforce capability, and driving factory productivity while maintaining the highest quality standards.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Maintenance, Reliability, and Utilities and oversees a team of seven.

What you will do:

  • Implement a structured, standardized maintenance management system across the plant and ensure alignment with ISO‑based maintenance strategies.
  • Coordinate maintenance resources and serve as the interface between maintenance units, managing purchase orders, service contracts, and supplier relationships to reduce costs and optimize capital use.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance calendar for machinery, equipment, and processes, prioritizing by criticality and ensuring visibility of planned downtime.
  • Provide analytical support through technical documentation reviews, maintenance studies, reporting, dashboards, and indicator tracking to enable equipment and process improvement.
  • Support maintenance teams and safety/environmental functions in meeting Occupational Health and Safety regulatory requirements.
  • Develop training materials, standard procedures, and upskilling plans—promoting consistent SAP/PM usage, predictive maintenance practices, and technician capability growth.

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Automation Engineering, with experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, reliability tools, and third‑party management.
  • Strong functional knowledge of electrical and mechanical industrial equipment, along with hands‑on expertise in SAP‑PM implementation and daily system use.
  • Proficient in Office applications, with advanced SAP capability.
  • Advanced technical skills in programming, maintenance planning/control, KPI management, root‑cause tools, project and cost management, RCM, and FMEA.
  • Ability to standardize processes, leverage reliability methodologies, and apply engineering expertise to optimize equipment and industrial processes.

Who you are:

  • Develop training materials and tutorials to build SAP/PM proficiency and establish standardized procedures for technicians and predictive maintenance practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Identify team knowledge gaps and create targeted upskilling plans to strengthen technical capability and workforce readiness.
  • Support compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards by ensuring maintenance teams understand and follow established processes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills—including communication, empathy, teamwork, organization, reliability, and proactive problem‑solving—to foster a positive and high‑performing work environment.
  • Exhibit ownership, commitment, and a growth mindset with aspirations for leadership, driving continuous improvement within the maintenance organization.
