About the Role

Responsible for the results of indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, for the new product, until EOL projects.  Must apply the philosophy of HPS. Developing the Harman skills in employees.

The position of Process Engineer, Transducers will support optimization of manufacturing processes and support PV launches while acting as feedback to the development team on lessons learned. The successful candidate will support transfer of lines, increase capacity and layout improvements as well as providing the production area with technical/engineering support to ensure that products are manufactured to customer requirements, reducing cost and improving quality.

What You Will Do

  • Supports recurring meetings, both internal and external, to track the progress of the different activities.
  • Support multi-function team meetings for tracking of activities and actions for different process metrics.
  • Coordinate execution, creating and updates of process documentation, Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and other required.
  • Developing problem solving process to identify causes and drive actions for improvement.
  • Lead change management process related or under your area of responsibility.
  • Develop Continuous Improvement projects primarily impacting operational metrics, SQDC.
  • Collaborate continuously on creating a safe environment within plant, including ergonomic improvements.
  • Support and collaborate on introduction of new lines, new machines and new processes, participating with other functions like AME, MBU, Customer Interface.
  • Start, support and participate in methodologies by CFT for Problem Solving aimed at responding to customers, improving metrics, and understanding causes of processes deviation.
  • Evaluate and drive actions for process continuous improvement in terms of cycle time and UPH output.
  • Full responsibility of process parameters in the process, developing parameters thru experiment, statistical analysis, DOE and other tools that will result in optimized parameters.
  • Control and reporting of studies to demonstrate process capability in the area of responsibility for special characteristics.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Engineering degree.
  • Strong knowledge in PFMEA tool and risk assessment tools like Reverse PFMEA activity.
  • Experience in Automotive Industry operational elements for IATF, Document Control, NPI, APQP, BOM, IATF, MSA, SPC, others.
  • Experience in work and interaction with Change Management processes.
  • Strong experience in Core Tools as per IATF elements.
  • Strong experience with problem solving methodologies.
  • Experience in the Industry on Lean Manufacturing, KAIZEN, Continuous Improvement, 8 Waste Tool, SMED, Others
  • Strong knowledge in Pneumatic, Electrical and PLC
  • Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
  • English 60%

  • Industry lead technologies: Robot programming, Visual Basic, Labview by NI, Electronic Programmed, Arduino, Interfaces, Vision System, (Camera and sensors), all of these demonstrable.
  • Self-driven type of person, dynamic and high level of accountability
  • Proficient in Problem solving tools and processes.
  • Achievement oriented.
  • 3D Modeling, Solidworks
