What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as the Weighmaster responsible for accurately weighing inbound and outbound vehicles and maintaining precise records in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
Operate truck scales; verify material types, load contents, and documentation; issue scale tickets, receipts, and required regulatory forms.
Maintain accurate logs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports in scale management software; ensure compliance with Weights & Measures requirements.
Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams; provide loading/unloading instructions and site safety guidance; resolve discrepancies professionally.
Process tickets, invoices, and receipts; support inventory tracking, production entries, and other plant clerical tasks; report equipment issues, calibration needs, and safety hazards promptly.
What Are We Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail with basic math and data‑entry proficiency; able to manage high‑volume traffic independently.
Clear communication and customer service skills; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Familiarity with scale/ticketing software (e.g., Command Cloud) and knowledge of DOT requirements, material types, or plant operations (preferred).
Ability to sit for extended periods in a scale house and work outdoors in various weather when interacting with drivers.
Work Environment
Role operates primarily in a scale house within an industrial plant setting, with regular coordination across production teams. Conditions may include exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and variable temperatures depending on work location.
