As part of the development of our activities in Sweden, we are actively seeking a Planning Engineer to strengthen our Project Control team on a major infrastructure project.
YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT
The Marine & Overseas Division carries out large-scale infrastructure projects internationally, including in the fields of energy, water treatment and complex structures.
The STEGRA project, located in Bodén, Sweden, involves the construction of a green steelworks and an electrolysis plant powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River. The facility will produce 5 million tonnes of green steel per year by 2030. Eiffage is responsible for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP2) and the Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant (HMP).
You will join the Project Control team, reporting directly to the Programme Manager. You will be a key interface for the PCM Team, Construction, Design team, Subcontract Management, and any other department as required internally. Externally, you will coordinate with subcontractors and, when exceptionally necessary, with the client or local authorities.
The position is based in Bodén.
Immediate start preferred.
YOUR MAIN TASKS
Your main purpose will be to manage the day-to-day construction programme and its follow-up, providing essential support to the Programme Manager. You will be actively involved in processes 3.3-Productivity, progress & Follow-up KPI, 3.4-Programme, and 3.5-Reporting.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Construction Scheduling & Look-Ahead Planning
Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules in Primavera P6.
Prepare and update 3-week and 6-week look-ahead schedules.
Prepare and maintain focus schedules (parallel activities).
Maintain resource-loaded schedules and billing-related schedules.
Prepare and update communication schedules.
2. Progress Monitoring
Perform weekly and monthly progress updates based on site input.
Collect, validate, and integrate progress data from construction teams.
Ensure alignment between baseline, progress, and look-ahead schedules.
3. Meetings & Coordination
Prepare and support Construction 3 WLAS (Weekly Look-Ahead Schedule) meetings.
Participate in coordination meetings related to construction planning.
Coordinate planning activities with construction and design teams.
Support coordination with subcontractors on schedule-related topics.
4. Reporting & KPIs
Prepare input for weekly and monthly reports.
Maintain and update planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Provide schedule data and extracts for project reporting.
5. Change Management & Claims Support
Support identification of impacted activities related to changes (EH).
Perform critical path impact analysis for changes.
Support valuation of delays in coordination with the Programme Manager.
Provide planning data and analysis to support claims preparation when required.
6. Daily Planning Support
Provide day-to-day planning support to the Programme Manager.
Support coordination between planning and construction activities.
Prepare ad-hoc schedule updates and short-term analyses as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience in construction or project planning, preferably on complex infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
Basic understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM).
Practical experience with short-term and look-ahead planning activities.
Ability to collaborate closely with site/construction teams and support regular schedule updates.
Good communication skills in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
A proactive, structured, and hands-on approach to planning topics.
Fluent in English (working language on site).
