Planning and Reporting Analyst

Remote Full time
This Analyst position supports production units by synthesizing large quantities of data to understand workload, utilization, and capacity. Reports will be developed to provide business leaders with the insights needed to prioritize and manage work. Ongoing analysis will be conducted to measure outcomes and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

Essential Duties 

  • Conduct analyses to identify business trends and inform strategic decisions 

  • Design, build and maintain analysis models 

  • Identify, extract and compile data to be analyzed 

  • Analyze data to identify trends, prepare and present findings 

  • Design operational reports to provide visibility to individual and business performance 

  • Design, build and maintain reporting data sets 

  • Develop metrics and measures that align with operational goals 

  • Provide consultative support to help leaders interpret results and take action as needed 

  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure business objectives are met 

  • Communicate effectively with leaders to recommend action, interpret results, and create effective presentations 

Job Skills 

  • Demonstrated analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills 

  • Familiarity with PowerBI and database architecture principles 

  • Experience managing data sources and extracting relevant data 

  • Thorough understanding of business operations 

  • Understanding of mathematical techniques to analyze data and draw conclusions 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands 

  • Diligently attend to details and manage multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner 

  • Effectively convey ideas and facts verbally and in writing 

  • Foster positive relationships with staff members and leadership 

  • Demonstrate accountability and dependability 

  • Possess the ability to quickly learn and effectively use technology 

  • Continually strive to improve processes and gain efficiencies 

  • Possess a desire and aptitude to further develop PowerBI and SQL knowledge

Work Experience 

  • Strong knowledge and experience utilizing PowerBI 

  • Experience in managing and querying large data sets 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule 

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of SQL, SSMS and PowerQuery 

  • Experience with SalesForce and SalesForce data 

  • 2 years’ experience managing data and analysis in a production environment 

  • Experience with business process workflows 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, preferably in Math/Statistics or related field 

Other 

  • Must be able to travel 0-10% of time. 

  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. 

  • Typical office setting. 

  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor. 

  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job. 

  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant 

  • Access information using a computer. 

  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain. 

  • Effectively cope with stressful situations 

  • Strong mental acuity 

  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job. 

  • Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification
