Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First:
    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
    • Maintain the safety of all systems and processes in the Isando Machine Shop and implement world class safety practices as guided by the Health and Safety department and senior management
  • SAP ERP Master Data Ownership & Reporting:
    • Manages all SAP master data related to production planning, including BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP parameters, order alignment and accuracy of material postings.
    • Ensures strong utilisation of SAP reports such as COGI, COOIS and all relevant planning/production reports to guide plant stakeholders and support decision‑making across Foundry, Machine Shop and Rubber Plant operations.

  •  Production Scheduling Support & Planner Management
    • Supports daily scheduling activities by working closely with production planners and specialists, ensuring accurate MRP action messages, capacity planning inputs, job pack quality and order slotting.
    • Oversees planning processes that align production plans with labour availability, machine uptime and material constraints to achieve optimal execution and on‑time delivery.

  • Master Data Integrity, Process Control & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintains end‑to‑end integrity of planning‑related master data and system controls, including demand management, MPS structures, subcontract order data, NCR‑linked negative orders, and stock availability requirements.
    • Supports Lean implementation, drives continuous improvement, supports technical analysis of performance, and ensures effective use of visual management tools.
  • Leadership
    • Adherence to all statutory SHE and housekeeping requirements
    • Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Computer Science.
  • SAP Certificates (PP/MM)  will be advantageous
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and MES systems
  • Computer literate – MS Office Suite
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
