The Opportunity

This position works out of our Coyol de Alajuela location in the Structural Division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

As the Planner I , you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed manufacturing build plans, for existing and new products, that meets defined service level and inventory targets for the division.

What You’ll Do

  • Defines the manufacturing build plan, based on the ERP signals accounting also for the inputs from the Supply Review and S&OP Sales & Operations meetings.
  • Clearly communicates the build plan to the production line and follows up on the volume and mix execution.
  • Collaborates with Industrial Engineering in the capacity assessment and incorporates the outputs of the process into the S&OP.
  • Clearly communicates the agreed production quantities and mix to the Supply Planner and addresses any service level issues.
  • Communicates production plan changes to the Purchasing group in a timely matter.
  • Has the customer in mind and looks over product availability. Is responsible to prevent, communicate and prioritize back order situations.
  • Maintain inventory levels for ZSMI and Finish goods at the pre-defined optimal levels.
  • Monthly inventory management of excess, obsolete, expiring inventory.
  • Basic knowledge in ERP system functionality and MRP logic.
  • Different functions and roles related to Supply chain according to business needs.

Shift Admin

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or having successfully covered at least 75% of the curriculum at the University to obtain this degree and is currently studying.0-2 years of experience in engineering or related field preferred
  • 0-3 years of working experience in Production Planning functions or related activities (capacity modeling, line scheduling, materials planning). Is able to identify cost savings opportunities and implement plans to realize savings.
  • Use of MS Office software desired. Language Proficiency
  • Intermediate Commands of English / Required Preferred Qualifications & Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Device experience is a plus.
  • ERP experience is a plus.
