Reporting to the Manager, PTS, the Planner role supports the safe, on-time delivery of quality engines by driving performance across Production, EH&S, and related support functions. The successful candidate contributes directly to meeting business commitments through continuous improvement and strict adherence to corporate programs and standards.
This role actively seeks opportunities to enhance Assembly, Test, and Planning processes by incorporating instruction and tooling changes aligned with established planning standards outlined in ECOP, ATWI, as well as ETOI and company policies and procedures. Additionally, the position leverages input from Production Technicians and key stakeholders to ensure improvements are practical, effective, and focused on operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and update AFS’s as required (Incorporate COs and other related tasks such as TATP, RFN and RFA)
- Attend DR meetings (includes reviewing, investigate and action as required).
- Create 3D models to improve tooling, EH&S related items and other general improvements.
- Understanding of Engineering documents (CIC/TOL,CPW’s etc.)
- Initiate request for tooling to create and modify as required through ITDM in conjunction with other facilities.
- Select appropriate AFS revision for Return Engines.
- Assist with Elevate tasks (DR/Tooling etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Wind Turbine Technology, or Red Seal Journeyperson Certification in automotive/mechanical trades. Equivalent Engineering or Business-related diploma considered.
- Technical knowledge in aircraft configuration, assembly, test cell, and inspection techniques.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Consistently positive performance reviews (PMP).
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and CORE tools.
- Reliability in attendance and timekeeping.
- Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and maintain a positive image.
- Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to employee performance and training.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving using root cause techniques.
- Ability to balance customer needs with business value.
