Job Description Summary

Location: Schaftenau, Austria #onsite

The Global Device and Packaging Development (GDPD) organisation is launching its first GMP manufacturing plant for the assembly of drug-device combination products at the Novartis Campus in Schaftenau. Starting from 2026, the GDPD Pilot Plant will assemble pre-filled syringes into different types of medical devices and become a key player in the supply of world-wide clinical trials. We are currently looking to build a motivated and talented team, with an interest to set up and maintain all processes required to make a combination product and to prepare the plant for its first batch and beyond. Job Description

Major accountabilities::

  • Execute assigned manufacturing tasks and activities according to production schedule to enable the timely production of product with quality and quantity in compliance with the relevant GMP, HSE and environmental guidelines.

  • Perform commissioning activities between warehouse and production according to process orders.

  • Prepare, print and consolidate batch documents, labels; perform entries and verify transactions/declarations in SAP system.

  • Execute inbound deliveries and sampling of incoming goods in the warehouse, in alignment with local procedures.

  • Organize shipments for orders and perform outbound deliveries in the warehouse, including shipment organization of orders.

  • Execution of all assigned activities according to production schedule and in compliance with the valid GMP, work, operating, environmental and safety instructions and guidelines.

  • Proper handling of products in the warehouse and adherence to HSE guidelines; preparation of shipments according to NVS and GMP standards.

  • Management of inbound and outbound deliveries and commissioning; updates in SAP. Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous work experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse management and GMP environment preferred

  • Experience in SAP is a plus

  • Careful and exact execution of assigned tasks

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a team setting

  • Reliability and willingness to take responsibility

  • Resilience to changes

  • This position currently does not require shift work (subject to change in later phases of the project)

  • Fluent German required

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € €39,171.30/year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.

We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
