Nutreco is a global leader in animal nutrition, supporting our customers to produce more feed sustainably and feed a growing population. Within Nutreco Exploration (NutEx), we develop novel and proprietary plant-based specialty ingredients through our Competence Center for Medicinal Plant Solutions, the Garden of the Future (NuGaFu).
In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the analytical backbone of our phytotechnology program, collaborating with passionate scientists and supporting innovative plant-based research. Own your curiosity. Own your craft. Own your growth.
What you’ll do
Perform phytochemical analyses to support NutEx production and discovery projects, ensuring reliable, accurate data for our research pipeline.
Develop, optimize, and execute analytical methods (including HPLC UV and HPLC MS) within our phytochemistry team.
Conduct quality control analyses for our plant based products, including PhytoComplex under the EDGEOS brand.
Support practical laboratory work across phytotechnology projects and contribute to data evaluation.
Collaborate closely with scientists and technicians in an interdisciplinary research environment at our Garden of the Future site.
Who we’re looking for
You’re someone who is hands on, curious, and ready to Own this role. You enjoy working in a discovery driven lab environment where workflows evolve as research progresses.
You bring a completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician or a degree in Life Sciences, with practical experience in phytochemistry, natural product analytics, or HPLC based methods.
You’re confident with HPLC sample preparation, HPLC UV or HPLC MS, and you’re comfortable working with analytical software alongside Word and Excel.
You communicate openly, collaborate well in a team, and thrive in environments where innovation and non linear workflows are part of everyday discovery.
Fluency in English, German being an advantage.
This role will be based in Arbon, Thurgau, Switzerland. Full-time on-site presence in our Garden of the Future site is mandatory for close collaboration with the team and access to the laboratory.
