About the opportunity
Exciting opportunity to join the friendly and supportive Physiotherapy team at Werribee Mercy Hospital, an expanding health service, which is committed to ensuring high quality, evidence-based, person-centred patient care. This position will be an integral part of our grade 1 physiotherapy rotation providing contemporary care to patients in designated clinical area/s. This rotation includes a required rural rotation to MCC Young during 2026.
Full-time Grade 1 fixed contract (27/1/26 to 30/1/27) New Graduate physiotherapist role.
Rotational position which may include, outpatients, acute inpatients (Ortho, surgical, general medicine, palliative care and participation in weekend roster), sub-acute inpatients (GEM), Community Based Rehabilitation (HIP) with definite rural rotation to Mercy Care Centre Young in 2026
Member of inter-professional teams providing quality, evidence based, person-centred, physiotherapy clinical care in a designated caseload
Friendly and supportive physiotherapy team with a strong learning culture, team support and a robust supervision framework

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy with full, unlimited AHPRA physiotherapy registration
Current, full Victorian (or equivalent) Drivers License
Broad clinical physiotherapy experience in an acute hospital setting
Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
Availability and willingness to rotate to MCC Young during 2026 when required is essential requirement of this position
A dedicated, compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Current full and unlimited AHPRA Physiotherapy Registration
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
