The Opportunity:
Physics/Optics SME– Computer Engineering to support the technical exploitation of foreign systems and subcomponents for current and future technology. We assess scientific and technical capabilities, forecast, and predict future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness, and create high-fidelity models and simulations of systems. Join our Team as we drive all-source collection, apply research, and deliver highly technical, all-source finished intelligence on emerging and disruptive technologies helping our customers to assess current threats and forecast future threats on some of the nation’s most challenging missions. Selected candidate will need to travel to Charlotteville, VA on occasion for project updates.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on the biological effects of electromagnetic fields.
• Support flow-down of high-level product requirements to requirements for optical sub-systems and components.
• Perform optical design meeting flow-down requirements for optical systems. \
• Cross-functional collaboration with biomedical engineering, electrical engineering etc. to support design trades and define workable solutions on tight schedules. • Support written assessments, write assessments, and communicate technical information to a broad audience.
• Analyze information from multiple sources and make engineering judgements based on limited available information.
• Expand current research and understanding of foreign technologies and capabilities to support intelligence assessments.
Qualifications Required:
• MS/PhD in Optical Engineering/Physics or other relevant discipline 12+ years’ experience in relevant optical engineering environment.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Expertise in Optoelectronics and Optical Communications.
• Experience with the fundamentals of both electromagnetic wave interactions from ULF to visible frequencies and vacuum fluctuations with matter.
• Experience in propagation, scattering and momentum transfer in complex materials, including structured and disordered materials, linear and nonlinear materials and soft-matter and biomaterials.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
