Job description: Physicist

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Physicist to join our R&D team in developing the next generation scanning electron microscopy system.

Our Group:

The SEM physics team is responsible for the development of scanning electron microscope (SEM) columns, detectors, semiconductor surface analysis methods and novel imaging techniques for the different tools developed by Applied Materials.

What you'll be doing:

  • Development of top edge scanning electron microscopes, detectors and new imaging techniques
  • Experimental laboratory work, electron optics simulations, electron-matter interaction, and modeling of related physical aspects
  • Leading investigations of physical problems.
  • Collaboration with different R&D disciplines (application, algorithms, electronics, mechanics, etc..)
  • Collaboration with external companies and research institutes.

What you should have?

  • PhD in experimental or applied physics (post-doc is an advantage).
  • Experience as experimental physicists in any field.
  • Experience in laboratory work  
  • Experience in simulations (Python, Matlab)  
  • Experience in fields of SEM/TEM, particle accelerators, solid state, semiconductor industry – advantage.
