Position Overview:

Acute Care General Surgery coverage for two hospitals located approximately 10 miles apart in South King County: Auburn Medical Center (AMC) is a Level 3 Trauma Center Covington Medical Center (CMC) is a community hospital

Details:

  • Schedule :188 daytime shifts per year, split between the two hospitals

    • Daytime shifts will be at one hospital at a time

    • 10 Hour Day Shifts

    • 61 nights (14 Hours) of at home call coverage per year

      • Call coverage will cover AMC fully and CMC by phone only

      • 30 minute response time to AMC required for trauma activations

  • Minimal clinic responsibilities.

  • 2 + years post residency is preferred.

  • DaVinci Xi robots may be available for acute care cases.

  • Ideal candidate must be comfortable operating on cases independently.

Position Summary

MultiCare is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon to join our well established, thriving program. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in an inpatient setting for the MultiCare Health System.
It is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the growth of an integrated Acute Care Service with community partners across Puget Sound.Responsibilities • Coverage of assigned MHS facilities in South King County • Inpatient consults, ED consults, Rounding • In-basket Management • Manage Patient List • Perform bedside procedures • Urgent/emergent surgery • Post-Op clinic • APP/staff/resident Training and ongoing education Requirements • Board certified or board eligible (American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association) • WA state license required • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority required • Trauma Certification, as per facility requirement • ACLS, ATLS & BLS for Healthcare providers – certification by AHA required • Robotics preferred, not required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $516,200.00 - $516,200.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
