Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care physician in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Join a well-established team of experienced physicians and Advanced Practice Providers at our Tertiary Care Hospital/Teaching Hospital.

50:50 Pulmonary: Critical Care Split
Pulmonary portion is M-F no weekends or after hours! 2 weeks of pulmonary each month, consists of both outpatient clinic and inpatient consults.
Approx. 7 inpatient Critical Care shifts each month.
Recent addition of the lung nodule clinic; onsite thoracic surgeon to collaborate with!
Dedicated bronchoscopy suite
Excellent anesthesia support for intubations and OR procedures including EBUS
State-of-the-art Cancer Center with monthly Lung-Tumor Board meetings
Interventional Radiology on-site
24/7 Respiratory Therapist coverage who manage NIPPV/Mechanical Ventilators
Dedicated, experienced clinic support staff who allow our providers to focus their time and energy on providing exceptional patient care

Join a practice which includes excellent support from colleagues and well trained, dedicated support staff. Critical care procedures will include, but are not limited to Navigational Bronchoscopy, central line, ECMO and chest tube placement.

Job Description

The Pulmonology & Critical Care Physician provides specialized care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases and critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). This role involves both outpatient pulmonary medicine and inpatient critical care responsibilities, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex pulmonary conditions, critical illnesses, and multisystem organ failure. The physician works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Current medical license in each state of practice. State Controlled Substance License (if required by State) Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice. Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents. Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
