Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of the MHMG Project Management Office, the incumbent is responsible for consulting on processes related to the onboarding activities of acquired/MSO physician practice arrangements, from due diligence through integration into Memorial Hermann Medical Group (MHMG). Key activities include: deploying as needed to serve as a primary liaison with prospective provider groups to coordinate the implementation, training, support, and ongoing maintenance of all activities related to the onboarding process, as well as tracking the 30/60/90 days post go-live reporting. Also responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities related to all integrated onboarding activities. Travel is required in this position.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree related field or relevant combination of training and experience
Licenses/Certifications: None required; CMPE preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
With Degree: Five (5) years of practice management experience in an outpatient physician practice setting, with an understanding of physician needs, project management, practice patterns, practice management systems, and workflow
Without Degree:15 years of healthcare industry experience, with at with at least 10 years in physician practice management
Strong understanding of healthcare coding and physician practice regulatory requirements knowledge
Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively and build strong relationships with physicians, staff, and all levels of management stakeholders
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and lead multiple projects at the same time and achieve results
Significant working knowledge of MS Office- (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and SharePoint
Principal Accountabilities
Deploys to identify practice locations to consult on all assessment/due diligence activities as required. Travels throughout the region to meet with providers and office staff, attending due diligence meetings and conducting presentations.
Serves as the MHMG representative and primary point of contact between MHMG and office staff regarding all onboarding activity coordination, before, during, and after acquisition or contracting, including the 30/60/90 day post-go live activities. Identifies opportunities for improvement.
Assists and coordinates the implementation, training, support, and on-going maintenance of technology, including SharePoint, and Practice Management Systems. Tracks and reports utilization of these resources and improves processes as necessary.
Consults with acquired/contracted practices on MHMG best practice approaches for practice management, including coordination with stakeholder groups (revenue cycle, ISD, marketing, etc.)
Facilitates the routine communication of credentialing and payer enrollment processes, in partnership with MHMG credentialing staff.
Provides regular and consistent feedback to the MHMG project management office and identified providers; develops tools as necessary to meet this expectation.
Analyzes and provides hands-on support for moderate to complex inquiries in identified practices; determines appropriate MHMG stakeholder to resolve a reported issue and coordinates to achieve resolution.
Monitors and communicates trends and issues that may affect MHMG/practice relationships.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
