Job Description:
This position will help facilitate the best quality of health care for our patients by providing accurate and specific documentation of patient visits within the practice.
Education Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Medical terminology experience required.
- Enrollment in or graduate of a medical or healthcare program OR one year of experience in a medical office setting
- Strong, accurate keyboarding and verbal communication required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a transcriptionist or medical secretary
- Exemplary work ethic and professionalism
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to adapt to individual site needs
- Strong computer skills – technological savvy
- A typing speed of 50+ WPM
Preferred Education:
- Current enrollment in or graduate of a medical or healthcare degree program.
- Graduate of LPN, Medical Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT or similar program
About the Role
- 32 hours weekly
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- No weekends, holidays, or on call
- Fully benefit eligible
- Position is onsite at Essentia Health's 32nd Avenue location
