Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care physician to join this growing program and deliver compassionate care across the continuum for the children and families of West Michigan. This collaborative team has support throughout the Corewell Health system as well as:

  • Clinical excellence

  • Education and academic engagement

  • Research and scholarly activity, particularly with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and the Van Andel Research Institute

  • Advocacy for patients and families

Program Highlights

  • Robust inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, and home visit capabilities

  • Supportive multidisciplinary team including 3 physicians, nurse practitioner, social worker and nurse

  • Growing collaborations with NICU, MFM, BMT, PHO, and cardiology

  • Dedicated Pediatric HPM Fellowship track

  • Partnership with state-wide Pediatric Hospice program

  • Teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and students

  • Mon-Fri with variable weekend call/night call shared with APPs

Qualifications

  • Completion of Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship

  • BC in Pediatrics and BC/BE in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine

  • New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply

  • Physician MD/DO license in Michigan or eligible for medical licensure
