The West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, and Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, seek a Memory Specialist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of memory disorders/cognitive neurology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a neurology residency program and memory disorders fellowship or cognitive neurology fellowship. Candidate must be board eligible/board certified in neurology and in memory disorders or cognitive neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
The WVU RNI Memory Health Clinic is the only multi-disciplinary specialty clinic in the state of West Virginia that offers comprehensive, individualized diagnosis and treatment for dementia, while providing support for caregivers. The integrative Clinic brings together a team of neurologists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurse practitioners to offer multidisciplinary care and emotional and resource support. The RNI team is pioneering innovative clinical trials and research through the use of Focused Ultrasound (FUS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Virtual Reality (VR), and wearable technologies to better treat Alzheimer's and memory disorders.
The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually.
