Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Physician to serve as an active member of our multidisciplinary Critical Care teams, delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment. This role is primarily clinical, with 95% of time devoted to direct patient care and 5% allocated to academic and administrative responsibilities. The physician will provide critical care and treatment to patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, working approximately 174 shifts per year, with each shift typically lasting 12–14 hours. Clinical schedules will be determined by the Chief of Critical Care, or their designee, based on patient demand and faculty availability. Responsibilities include evaluating patients as needed, delivering direct acute care services to individuals requiring critical care, and diagnosing and managing significant postoperative complications. The successful candidate will maintain current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other required certifications, contribute to the academic mission through lectures and resident training, and foster strong, collaborative relationships with clinicians at Roswell Park and partner institutions, with a primary focus on excellence in cancer care and treatment.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in General Internal Medicine, Family Practice or other related medical specialty.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine.

NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
