Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Setting: 50% Ambulatory / 50% Hospital-Based

Position Overview

Advocate Health is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our Gynecologic Oncology team at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. This role offers a dynamic blend of operating room support and outpatient clinical care, providing the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary oncology team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical & Inpatient Care

  • Provide first assist support in the operating room for gynecologic oncology surgical procedures
  • Perform perioperative patient management, including pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care
  • Conduct clinical surgical follow-ups for hospitalized patients to ensure optimal recovery outcomes

Ambulatory / Outpatient Care

  • Deliver comprehensive care in the clinic setting, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up visits
  • Support clinic flow and patient access through efficient patient management and coordination of care
  • Ensure continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Actively participate in daily huddles, case reviews, and multidisciplinary tumor board discussions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff and support personnel

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current PA-C certification required
  • Active Illinois license or eligibility for licensure
  • Prior experience in surgical oncology, gynecology, or operating room assisting preferred
