JOB SUMMARY
The Surgical Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients, working collaboratively with Board Certified Urologists. The Surgical Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit of four established APP colleagues, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
Perform clinic procedures with ability to assist in surgeries and develop robotic skills. Candidates interested in Pediatrics will have the opportunity to be mentored within the department.
New candidates will be onboarded through an extended training process to help affirm and expand the skillsets necessary for Urology.
In this role, you will join the largest urology group within MCHS along with a possibility of a flexible schedule of 4-10hr days should you wish. Rotating call will be 1:5.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.

EXPERIENCE
Preferred/Optional: One year in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required:
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
