Our ideal candidate provides physical therapy services to acute care patients throughout the organization under the direction of an occupational therapist and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed in the State of Idaho as Physical Therapy Assistant.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or Military training Network is required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred.
Essential Functions:
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable).
Assists in the development of treatment plans, provides direct patient care, and monitors the patient's response to treatment.
Provides education to patients & family members to ensure follow-through of treatment program.
Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to established rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
Facilitates the team approach by communicating with a wide range of health care professionals to improve quality of patient care and patient outcome.
Provides direct and indirect supervision of Therapy Aides.
Serves as a patient advocate.
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Participates in continuing education program to ensure appropriate units are attained for maintenance of State Licensure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
