Physical Security Department

The North America Physical Security Department is focused on delivering a best-in-class security program aligned with Vantage’s vision of becoming the leading industry physical security data center provider. Our mission is to safeguard our data center environments through comprehensive, scalable, and standardized physical security processes that deter threats, promote rapid incident response, ensure regulatory compliance, and support Vantage’s rapid growth.

The department leads all physical security efforts across North America, ensuring that every Vantage data center operates within a consistent, scalable, and standardized security framework. Our teams design and implement physical security programs, systems, and processes that deter threats, strengthen site resiliency, and enable rapid response to incidents. We partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Construction, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that physical security is embedded into every phase of the asset lifecycle and supports Vantage’s rapid expansion.

Position Summary:

The Construction Security Project Manager role is responsible for delivering large-scale security infrastructure programs on a large-scale campus. This role requires deep expertise in physical security systems, construction project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The Project Manager will oversee design reviews, implementation, and commissioning of advanced security solutions for new and existing facilities, ensuring compliance with organizational and customer standards and industry best practices. This position demands forward thinking, operational excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Execution

  • Stand up new security infrastructure at large, complex sites in a fast-paced environment.

  • Perform design reviews for security infrastructure projects.

  • Lead planning and execution for new locations, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.

  • Work with partner construction disciplines to ensure project delays and concerns are communicated early and often, and effective solutions are implemented

  • Evaluate, enforce, and maintain security standards, documentation, and compliance requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams and external construction disciplines to deliver high-quality results.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer-facing meetings, progress reporting, and stakeholder updates.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage General Contractor and Security Integrator relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee RFP/RFI processes.

  • Conduct financial reviews, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Technical Expertise & Commissioning

Oversee commissioning of security equipment, including:

  • Hardware: cabling, cameras, doors, readers, intercoms, NVRs.

  • Software: Access Control Systems (Lenel) and Video Surveillance Systems (Milestone).

  • Ensure ACS/VSS system readiness and integration with enterprise security platforms.

Cross-Functional Relationship Development & Guidance

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Lenel Access Control experience: 5+ years (certification preferred)

  • Milestone Video Surveillance experience: 5+ years

  • Data Center experience: 5+ years

  • Construction Project Management: 5–10 years

  • PSP, CSPM, PMP certifications preferred

  • Knowledge of Genetec systems

  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong background in design review and security infrastructure planning

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer-facing interactions

  • Willingness to travel as needed for project oversight

  • Experience in high-security environments such as data centers is preferred
