Overview & Responsibilities

To audit ledger cards by taking a physical inventory of parts or items in the storeroom, yard, and/or production floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Counts the number of parts or items in the storeroom, yard, and/or production floor to determine whether the amounts shown on the ledger card require adjustment.

  • Checks the Receiving Department and/or Purchasing Department regarding the delivery status of purchased parts or items.

  • Adjusts the ledger cards to reflect the findings of the actual inventory count.

  • Obtains and interprets drawings to identify parts when necessary.

  • Adjusts order quantities on Manufacturing Production Orders on the basis of inventory findings as required.

  • Completes inventory adjustment forms and notifies supervisor of findings.

  • Completes and files special inventory records as required.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be willing and able to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends.

  • One-year related experience preferred, must pass divisional testing.
