Role Overview

As a Photography Manager, you'll be leading a dynamic team of 8-10 photographers. This is more than just a management role - it's a chance to combine your leadership capabilities, technical photography expertise, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

You will be instrumental in ensuring our clients receive top-tier media, including high-quality photography. Your core responsibility will be to ensure our photography team consistently meets all appointment deadlines and upholds the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, advanced technical skills, and outstanding communication abilities essential for effectively managing remote teams. You’ll be a key liaison, working closely with clients, our sales team, logistics, and the broader creative department.

This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of 8-10 photographers, ensuring high performance, adherence to brand standards, and continuous skill improvement.
  • Optimise workflows and conduct regular quality audits to maintain high-quality media output and efficient service delivery.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact, troubleshooting equipment and software issues, and coordinating with IT support.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by promptly addressing client inquiries and coordinating seamlessly with logistics, sales, and customer support.
  • Monitor KPI performance and scorecards regularly to identify and implement areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product and sales to ensure we are delivering the best results for our clients.
  • Attend appointments with Photographers to provide coaching, learn new techniques or best practices to share with the team.
  • Occasional interstate travel is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree qualification
  • +5 years of direct operations management experience, including remote management of 6 or more employees.
  • Exceptional communication and team engagement skills, particularly with remote teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and expertise in analysing KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Dedication to outstanding customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Flexibility for fieldwork travel and availability for evening/weekend work as required by client needs.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with no restrictions
