Job Description:
Phlebotomist
Full Time, First Shift – 3am-11:30am – Rotating Weekends & Call
The Phlebotomist performs the collection of blood and body specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients and transports patient specimens to the laboratory.
Job Duties:
- Performs venipuncture and capillary collections and performs point of care testing.
- Collects appropriate specimen for each test.
- Follows all patient safety and specimen collection protocols without variance.
- Properly transports collected specimens to the lab via tube system or hand carry and follows infection control protocols.
- Consistently follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Preferred Requirements:
- Completion of Phlebotomy training program or ASCP Certification
