PROGRAM MANAGER
PHILANTHROPY
SUMMARY:
Leads internal and external fundraising campaigns including large-scale special events for Saint Alphonsus Foundations. Responsible for project planning and implementation, and accountable for revenues ($2M+) and associated expenses to ensure achieving success and exceeding goals. Leads recruitment, training, coordination and retention for engaged volunteers.
Manages donor stewardship activities (tours, guest lectures, ribbon cuttings, special meetings, socials) and is a strong communicator in written format and in public presentations. Has extraordinary attention to detail as well as clarity on big-picture philanthropic objectives. Successful in forming new relationships as well as fostering relationships with long-term donors and volunteers with Saint Alphonsus.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred areas of study: Project Management, Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Five years’ experience required in related field. Demonstrates outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment. Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft suite of products.
Effective negotiation skills in working with vendors and contractors (i.e. venues, caterers, independent workers).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, implements, leads, and evaluates project workplans with accountabilities, budgets, and deadlines. Leads special project and event committees and ensures follow-through.
Responsible for recruitment, training, and appreciation of volunteers. Accountable for budget of revenue/expense for all assigned projects and events.
Excellent written skills and able to craft quality content in charitable giving appeals, letters, articles, updates, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, invitations, donor impact stories and board reports, etc.
Strong public speaker.
Leads the ordering, organization, inventory, organization, and maintenance of supplies, gifts, goods and décor within the office and storage unit. Effective negotiation skills in working with vendors and contractors (i.e. venues, caterers, independent workers).
Proactively forges external relationships (sponsors, partners, volunteers) and collaborates with internal department leaders and colleagues.
