The Philanthropy & Community Impact Team is looking for a Philanthropy & Community Impact Intern to join their team in Eden Prairie.
Position Summary
The Philanthropy Intern supports Cambria’s philanthropic and community initiatives with a primary focus on Camp Cambria and youth-centered programs. This hands-on role provides exposure to event planning, community engagement, nonprofit partnerships, and brand storytelling, while contributing directly to meaningful projects that create real impact. This role is ideal for a creative, curious self-starter who is eager not only to support initiatives but to bring forward new ideas, perspectives, and recommendations that help shape Cambria’s philanthropic and community impact efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Complete and present a capstone project related to department business needs. This will include research, analysis, and presenting the overall findings and suggestions to peers and Cambria Leaders.
Storytelling, Content & Brand Experience
Gather and organize impact stories, photos, quotes, and metrics for presentations and internal communications.
Support the creation of content highlighting camps, youth initiatives, employee engagement, and community impact.
Assist with organizing digital assets, drafting captions, and maintaining content calendars aligned with Cambria brand standards.
Capture photos and short videos at events while serving as an on-site brand ambassador.
Event & Activation Support
Support planning, logistics, and on-site execution for Camp Cambria, youth programs, and community initiatives.
Help coordinate schedules, rosters, volunteers, and supplies to ensure seamless, high-quality experiences.
Work closely with internal teams and nonprofit partners to gain hands-on experience supporting community events, philanthropic activations, and employee engagement experiences.
Assist with run-of-show coordination, event flow, and post-event recaps to capture what worked and why.
Support expense tracking and organization of event materials and assets.
Research & Special Projects
Conduct research related to philanthropy, youth wellness, community partnerships, and impact measurement.
Contribute to presentations, dashboards, storytelling tools, and other strategic resources.
Qualifications & Skills
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Professional, creative communicator with experience building clear, compelling presentations
Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and urgency
Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
Proficient in Google Workspace and everyday digital tools
Genuine interest in community impact, philanthropy, and volunteerism
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Expected graduation dates of 2026, 2027, or 2028.
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience; volunteer experience, club involvement.
Systems: Proficient with Google Suite
Additional Requirements:
Managerial Responsibilities: No
Travel Requirements: Limited travel locally (Eden Prairie, Le Sueur, and Belle Plaine)
Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Able to lift to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer
Program Dates: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026; M-F; 40-hour work week.
