Job Profile Summary

PHI is building a cloud-native, microservices-oriented, loosely coupled & open technology platform, tightly aligned to the health insurance domain. The platform will support massively large-scale distributed systems and products across multi-cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The CI/CD DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Building and operating cloud infrastructure including release management, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, alerting, database management, infrastructure security, and site reliability engineering.
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines that support high availability (99.999% uptime), instant failover.
  • Creating reusable infrastructure development frameworks and standards for backend and frontend deployment.
  • Collaborating across engineering, product, R&D, and analytics teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure systems.
  • Mentoring technical staff on DevSecOps principles and ensuring adherence to architecture and coding standards.
  • Forecasting and optimising software licence and infrastructure costs.

Job Description

  • Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle—from requirements gathering to production deployment and proactive monitoring.
  • Define and implement standards for seamless backend and frontend deployment.
  • Develop specifications, write code, conduct unit and performance testing, and support rollout and launch.
  • Ensure systems are running and available through proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Manage internal and external interfaces and communications.
  • Drive adoption of user behavioural analytics using crashalytics and event tracking.
  • Stay current with bleeding-edge technologies and frameworks to bring differentiation through innovation.
  • Implement and manage SAST (Static Application Security Testing)SCA (Software Composition Analysis), and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tools and processes for secure code delivery.

Who We Are Looking For

Technical Skills & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's in Engineering from a recognised institute.
  • 4–12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps and site reliability engineering.
  • Proven track record in building and managing CI/CD pipelines for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with GCP services including GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Functions, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Firestore.
  • Experience with security tools and platforms including CheckmarxHashiCorp VaultGitHubGitHub Actions, and Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Kafka, Zookeeper, Prometheus, Elasticsearch.
  • Prior experience in health/life insurance, wellness, payments, financial services, or health tech domains.
